The following are the core beliefs of TurningPoint Church based on the foundational truths taught in the Bible. All of our teaching and ministry is rooted in and flows out of these biblical doctrines. We use the KJV for our primary study, reading, & preaching.
The Bible teaches that God is One—who manifested Himself as Father, Son, and Holy Ghost. This is not three separate persons, but one God revealed in different ways. “Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God is one Lord” (Deuteronomy 6:4). Jesus is the full manifestation of God in the flesh: “For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily” (Colossians 2:9). As the Son, He was God made visible for our redemption, and as the Holy Ghost, He now dwells in believers (John 14:16-18). God is not divided, but perfectly & divinely revealed in Jesus Christ.
Humankind was created in the image of God, designed for relationship with Him and entrusted with dominion over the earth. “So God created man in his own image…” (Genesis 1:27). But through disobedience, sin entered the world, and now “all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23). Though fallen, every soul is deeply loved by the Creator, who “is not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance” (2 Peter 3:9). Our response must be to turn to God in faith, turn from sin, obey the gospel, and walk in newness of life through Jesus Christ.

Whereas we do not belong to ourselves, but to God, we should intentionally seek to glorify Him in our body and spirit. This lifestyle should convict us in how we live, treat one another, the condition of our heart, what & how we speak, how we dress, where we go, & who/what we worship.
1 Corinthians 6:20 (KJV) For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's.
The Church is meant to be the visible body of Christ, sent into the world to glorify God and proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ.
Jesus Christ is returning one day to judge both the living and the dead and to usher in the fullness of God's kingdom on earth.
