Our Pastor

Welcome to TurningPoint’s website! It is our sincere desire to welcome you not only to our website but into our Church as well. We are God called to Maysville to help people from all walks of life find Jesus. We are a Spirit filled, Bible believing Church that believes that God can do absolutely ANYTHING in your life!

You haven’t been too bad or even too good for God! God can fix anything that seems to be broken in your life, if you give Him the opportunity! We are all agents of God’s grace and mercy so therefore we are all on a level playing field. We need one another’s fellowship as it strengthens and affirms us. (See Acts 2 and Hebrews 10:25)

We are also blessed to be the very first Church in a Day in Kentucky. On May 12th, 2017 we built our current building in 1 day! It took almost 300 volunteers to make it happen. Come and visit with us soon to see the extraordinary work that happened during this Church in a Day!

So, with that said, please come and be in service with us. If you would like to follow me on Twitter you can do that by clicking here or feel free to e-mail me by clicking here!

In His service,
Pastor Brian Young

A little about the Young’s!

Pastor Young & his Wife Casey have been married since October 2000.They have been involved in various levels of the ministry including Youth Pastor, Sunday School Teacher, Pastor’s Assistant and most recently Assistant Pastor.

They began their journey with God in October of 2002 with Rev. Troy Ballew as their Pastor. They moved to Hazard in August 2003, at the leading of the Lord, where they stayed for 5 years at Greater Apostolic Tabernacle (formerly New Life Temple). They sat under 2 different pastors while at GAT, Rev. Eugene McIntosh and Bishop J.R. Brindley. This is where God called them into the ministry and they really became rooted in their walk with the Lord.

Nearly 5 years to the day the Lord led them back to Mt. Sterling where they attended First United Pentecostal Church, Pastor Rev. Ray McIntosh. After 14 months at 1st UPC the Young’s transferred to Highpoint Apostolic Church in Winchester, KY under the pastorate of Rev. Barney Bates.

It was while at HPAC, February 2011, that God began to burden the Young’s with a higher calling than they had ever had placed on them. They knew that God was calling them to Pastor. The question was where! After seeking God earnestly, through much prayer and fasting, driving and praying through towns, for the bigger part of 2011, God placed an affirming burden for the city of Maysville, KY.

In February of 2012 the Young’s were approved for a Preaching Point (an extension of HPAC) by the Kentucky District Home Missions Board, UPCI. On March 4th, 2012 they held their very first Bible Study in a conference room of the French Quarter Inn. The story began and a new Church has been established.

Since coming to Maysville, God blessed the Young’s with their children, Andy & Rachel. The Youngs also serve as Pastor of the Apostolic Pentecostal Church in Manchester, OH.

Come and be a part of what God is doing at TurningPoint and in Maysville, KY!!
